Kamloops Daily News is a daily newspaper in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada covering local news, sports, business, jobs, and community events.
The Daily News traces its roots to the founding of the weekly Kamloops Shopper in 1931. In 1937, George Dawson and Watt Francis took it over and named it the Kamloops Advertiser. In 1965 the name was changed to the Kamloops-North Kamloops News Advertiser, then the Kamloops News Advertiser a year later. The newspaper began publishing twice a week in 1968; two months later a Friday edition was added. "Advertiser" was dropped from the name in 1973. In 1982, The Kamloops News began publishing Monday through Friday evenings. On May 31, 1986 a Saturday edition was added and the name was soon changed to The Kamloops Daily News. On September 14, 1995, the News began publishing every morning.
