Langley Advance is a newspaper in Langley, British Columbia, Canada covering local news, sports, business, jobs, and community events.
The Langley Advance began publication in 1931. It is published two times a week on Tuesday and Friday. It has a circulation of about 40,000.
The newspaper was previously owned by Canwest Global Communications Corporation, a major Canadian broadcaster and newspaper publisher. Canwest entered creditor bankruptcy protection in late 2009 leading to the sale of the company's assets. Postmedia Network, a company formed by National Post CEO Paul Godfrey, acquired the majority of Canwest's newspapers. In November 2011, Glacier Media Inc. acquired the Advance, as well as 22 other newspapers, as part of an $86.5 million deal with Postmedia.
