Georgia Straight
Georgia Straight is a newspaper in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada covering local events and entertainment.
It is one of the best media outlets in the world, according to Mondo Times members.
The Georgia Straight is an alternative newspaper founded in May 1967. Often referred to simply as "The Straight", the tabloid-sized publication is delivered each Thursday to newsboxes, colleges, public libraries and a number of other locations in the greater Vancouver area. The newspaper has long been an outspoken critic of the Canadian government. Special editions of The Straight include the Golden Plate Awards in March, and September's Best of Vancouver roundup.
The newspaper is a member of the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies (AAN) and has one of the highest circulation numbers of the publications affiliated. AAN is a group of weekly newspapers providing journalism that offers an alternative to the mainstream media in the area.

The Georgia Straight Editorial Staff appear to be dominated by extreme left wing eco-activists who obsessively control the content and restrict any opinions that express opposing views. Posted by R, Canada, May 6, 2008
