Brandon Sun is a newspaper in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada covering local news, sports, business, jobs, and community events.
The Sun was founded on January 19, 1882. It covers Brandon -- named after the Brandon Hills in the area which are, in turn, named after a hill in James Bay -- and the surrounding communities of western Manitoba. In December, 2001, the newspaper was bought from Thomson Newspapers by FP Canadian Newspapers Limited Partnership, a company founded by Ronald Stern and Bob Silver.
