Suddeutsche Zeitung ("South Germany Newspaper" in English), also known as "SZ," is a leading German newspaper, published daily in Munich. The newspaper was launched on October 6, 1945, following the end of World War II. The national edition has four sections -- politics, culture, economy and sports -- while the local edition for Munich and Bavaria includes a local news section. Since 2004, SZ has published The New York Times International Weekly on Mondays. This is an 8-page insert of English language articles from The New York Times.
