Founded in 1949, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung ("Frankfurt General Newspaper" in English) is a daily newspaper published in Frankfurt am Main and distributed throughout Germany. The newspaper is also known by the acronym "FAZ." The Sunday edition is called the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung ("FAS").

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung has the largest circulation outside Germany of any German newspaper. As a national newspaper, it competes with other popular German newspapers including Die Welt, Frankfurter Rundschau, and Suddeutsche Zeitung.

This newspaper is owned by Verlagsgruppe Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung GmbH.

I am looking for an obituary for the Erfweiler Pfalz area of Germany. My Opa he
died on either October 12 or 13 of 2007. His name was Alois Keller he was in the SS and from what I understand he had been in the newspaper before I visited in 2006. He was in the paper as being the oldest living man or veteran in the area....
