Al-Ahram ("The Pyramids" in Arabic) is the highest circulation newspaper in Egypt. It was founded in 1875 by two Lebanese brothers, Beshara and Saleem Taqla. Published in Cairo, editorial content of the newspaper is controlled by the Egyptian Ministry of Information.
