Kompas

Kompas is a daily newspaper in Jakarta, Indonesia covering local news, sports, business, jobs, and community events.

The publication was initially named Bentara Rakyat (People's Herald) and was renamed to Kompas ("compass"). Kompas began publishing in June 1965, it is one of the most widely read and distributed newspapers in Indonesia. It is divided into three major sections, a front section containing national and international news, a business and finance section, and a sports section.

The web site is presented in the Indonesian language.
