Dinakaran is a major newspaper published from the major cities of Tamil Nadu. It was started in 1977 by former DMK Minister K.P. Kandasamy. In 2005 the paper was bought by the SUN TV group. Dinakaran is the largest circulation Tamil newspaper in India, followed by the Daily Thanthi.
