Telewizja Polska (TVP or Polish Television) is a public television broadcasting company in Poland, controlled by the Polish government. TVP began broadcasting in 1952 and is funded by a combination of license fees paid by television owners and commerical advertising and sponsorships. TVP operates seven television channels in Poland, including TVP1, TVP2, TVP Info, TVP Kultura, TVP Sport, TVP Historia, and TVP Polonia.
