Founded in 1896, the Daily Mail is the second largest daily newspaper in Britain (after The Sun) and one of the highest circulation newspapers in the world. A tabloid newspaper, it dominates the middle of the market, in terms of both political opinion and the buying power of its readers. The Sunday edition, The Mail on Sunday, was launched in 1982.
