WHIQ TV 24 is an affiliate of the PBS Television Network.

First aired in 1967, WHIQ out of Huntsville covers the northeastern portion of Alabama. The station is part of Alabama Public Television. APT is a network of public television stations created by the Alabama state legislature in 1953. When the APT network of stations first aired in 1954, Alabama became the first state in the nation with an educational television network. WTIQ (now WCIQ) was APT's first station. The network continues to offer an educational resource for viewers of all ages 24 hours a day.
