Man Accused In Springfield Bomb Plot Undergoes Mental Check

WCIA TV 3 reported on January 6, 2010:

"The man accused of trying to blow up the federal courthouse in Springfield is undergoing a mental evaluation.

It will be used to see if Michael Finton is competent to stand trial for charges of attempted murder and attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

Finton was arrested in the bomb plot in September.
His attorney says Finton has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and has a history of bizarre behavior."
