Although KHQA is licensed to Hannibal, the station is actually located in Quincy. The station operates an ABC network affiliate on its second digital subchannel, KHQA-DT2.

February 3, 2010 -- KHQA TV 7 reported a shooting that took place at a local store. The station has also posted updates on its website:

"KHQA has confirmed that shots have been fired at the Farm King store in Macomb, IL.

Police are on the scene of the situation on the east side of Macomb.

We've been told police have weapons drawn and are focusing their efforts at the Farm King Store on 1620 East Jackson.

KHQA's Jarod Wells is on the scene. He has heard that shots are still being fired and two Farm King employees are holed up inside an office within the building.

An eyewitness tells KHQA several employees from the Farm King Store came to the Hy-Vee grocery store crying."
