Gary Post Tribune is a daily newspaper in Gary, Indiana, USA covering local news, sports, business, jobs, and community events. The newspaper is published seven days a week. The Gary Post-Tribune was first published in 1907 as The Gary Weekly. It was established to serve the new steel industry rising on the shores of Lake Michigan. In 1908, the Gary Weekly became a daily and was renamed The Gary Tribune. The Tribune bought a competing daily paper, the Gary Evening Post, in 1910, and the two newspapers merged in 1921 to form the Post-Tribune. In June 1986, the publishing schedule changed to a seven-day morning edition, from a weekday evening and weekend morning edition. The Post-Tribune offers local news, sports, classifieds, opinion, entertainment, features and more. Circulation: 63,960 copies This newspaper is owned by Sun-Times Media Group, Inc..
