The Pittsburg Morning Sun is indeed an AWFUL publication. Editorial content is almost nil; the managing editor-publisher is obviously incapable of running the business and is probably not very bright. There is next to no coverage of local news -- nobody is on a "beat" and it seems that the editorial staff rarely leave the office to cover what's happening -- everything is done the lazy way, by telephone or by conjecture. The publisher-editor (Stephen Wade) ought to get out and scour the community for news; things are happening, but in his cocoon he is unaware of the little world around him. One's mind does not develop if one does nothing but spend a lifetime watching television. In short, this paper is operated by the most incompetent group of boobs in the newspaper business. The parent company is always forcing budget cuts that lower the already-low quality of the publication, which results in reader disenchantment and loss of readership. At fewer than 10,000 copies, it appears that this paper is headed for extinction -- it might as well fold, since it is entirely useless. By the way, Mondo, Jessica Tims-Seeliger is no longer the managing editor. Stephen Wade, publisher, has absorbed the managing editor position into his own job description. JTS, another incompetent, has gone to an even "podunkier" paper than the Morning Sun. I can't say enough bad things about this newspaper.
