Mondo Times editors Boulder, Colorado USA | Posted at 7:11pm on Friday, August 14th, 2009 | Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. announced that Tom Humpage has been named General Manager for WGME-TV (CBS 13) in Portland, Maine, effective August 17, 2009. The announcement was made by Steve Marks, Chief Operating Officer of Sinclair's television group.
Mr. Marks said, "We are excited to have Tom join the company. We believe that he will be a perfect fit for WGME given his proven track record of sales success at major network affiliates."
"I am very excited about this opportunity to manage the station and to be working with all the wonderful people at WGME in Portland, Maine," Humpage said. "With the strength of the station's programming, its already strong news presence and its growing digital platform, we have great opportunities for growth."
Prior to joining WGME-TV, Humpage was general sales manager at WKYC-TV, the NBC affiliate in Cleveland, Ohio, a position he held since May 2003. Prior to that, he was general sales manager for KMSP-TV/WFTC-TV in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Humpage attended Ohio State University.
