Bob Unger the editor of The Standard-Times reports on March 15, 2009:

"A few weeks back I told [readers] that we would be eliminating our TV Times magazine, which lists the television lineup for each day of the week and which we include in Sunday's edition. Most other newspapers, large and small, have done or are doing likewise. The reason is that neither the advertising nor subscription dollars we receive come close to supporting the cost of producing the magazine.

Next Sunday, we will publish the final edition of TV Times. We regret having to do so, but we also know that our readers understand that no business can long continue to produce products and services at a loss. To compensate, The Standard-Times has improved its daily listings of shows that are broadcast during prime time. We have added a Top 5 Picks column, as well as a listing of the guests on the most popular late-night talk shows."
