It is a shame when the only local papers in the area are owned by the same company! I miss the competition of a good rivalry, it keeps the news sharp.

The BerkshireEagle is the only Daily newspaper in Pittsfield, and one of only 2 in Berkshire County. The other county dailoy, The North Adams Transcript, is owned and published by the same company. There is not even a semblance of fair reporting.Just about every story and article is editorialized to fit their agenda!
