The Times Chronicle traces its roots to the founding of the Woburn Daily Times in 1901 by the Hagerty family. In 1967, the Hagertys bought the Reading Chronicle, and in 1981 merged the weekly Chronicle into the Daily Times to create the current newspaper. It covers Woburn and the surrounding communities of Middlesex County, Massachusetts.
