Mound Bayou Junior Gentlemen Give Beyond Holidays

The Bolivar (Miss.) Commercial reported on December 31, 2009:

"“We want the community to remember those in need even after the Christmas holiday,” said Dr. Oliver D. Robinson, director and staff counselor for the Junior Gentlemen Club. “This will be an ongoing project.”

Robinson said people who wish to help may drop off canned goods and other items at Beautiful New Hope Church in Mound Bayou, located on Old Miss. Highway 61.

“A lot of the time people forget about those in need after the holiday season has ended,” said Robinson. “After the holidays, most people stop giving but the need is always there. The need never ends. There are children, elderly and single parent households that still need that same help everyone’s willing to offer around the holiday.”
