Steady Turnout for New Albany (Miss.) Alcohol Vote

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reported on January 12, 2010:

"Voters are deciding today whether beer and light wine will be legal to sell and possess within the city limits.

At 12:30 p.m., around 1,000 voters or 20 percent of the registered voters in New Albany had turned out.

The election is being held at the Union County Courthouse, with voting to end at 7 p.m."
