Kansas City Pitch

The Kansas City Pitch is a weekly newspaper in Kansas City, Missouri, USA covering local entertainment, events and culture.

The newspaper is published once a week on Wednesday.

Started as a music publication called the Penny Pitch in 1980, The Pitch has grown to become Kansas City's news and entertainment weekly. It is distributed free of charge and reaches across the Missouri border into Lawrence and Topeka, Kansas.

In March 2011, Southcomm, Inc. purchased The Pitch from the previous owner the Village Voice Media, Inc. In 2017, SouthComm sold the paper to Stephanie Carey and Adam Carey.

This publication is a member of the Association of Alternative Newsmedia (AAN). AAN is a group of newspapers and magazines providing journalism that offers an alternative to the mainstream media in the area.

Circulation estimate: 45,000

This newspaper is owned by Stephanie and Adam Carey.
