Omaha is the largest city in the state of Nebraska, and is the county seat of Douglas County. It is located on the Missouri River, about 20 miles north of the mouth of the Platte River. The city is the headquarters of ConAgra Foods, Union Pacific Corporation, Mutual of Omaha, Peter Kiewit and Sons, Inc., and Berkshire Hathaway. Omaha is the home of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Creighton University, as well as a number of other colleges.
