Hearst Television station WMUR-TV in Manchester, N.H. has been honored with a national Edward R. Murrow Award, given by the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA). WMUR was honored for Best Newscast.

The station was recognized in part for coverage of major weather events impacting the region. Judges cited WMUR's live, on-the-scene coverage of a July 2008 tornado that damaged more than 100 homes throughout New Hampshire.
