News West Publishing, a division of Brehm Communications, purchased The Valley News from Western Newspapers in 1991. It was publishing three days per week. News West added a fourth day of publication, followed by a fifth day in 1992. The name of the newspaper was then changed to the Mohave Valley Daily News. In July, 1994, a sixth day was added to the newly redesigned publication.
