Rochester-area Sheriff's Deputy, Civilian Shot; Suspect in Custody

WROC TV 8, Rochester, reported on January 8, 2010:

"Police said a man in Brockport, upset from something that happened earlier in the day, fired several shots in Brockport on Friday. He hit a sheriff's deputy, and one of the shots hit a woman across the street.

The deputy is at Strong Hospital in Rochester. The female civilian was shot in the shoulder. Both are expected to recover from their injuries.

The incident happened Friday afternoon in Brockport, on 4th Section Road. Both the schools in the district and SUNY Brockport went on lockdown, and roads were closed in the area."
