East Carolinian
East Carolinian is a newspaper in Greenville, North Carolina, USA covering university news, education, sports, and campus events.
The newspaper is published twice each week, on Tuesday and Thursday
The East Carolinian was founded in December 1925. It is the student-run newspaper at East Carolina University. Students control the news and production operations of the newspaper and make all decisions concerning the editorial content of each issue. It is a non-profit entity published under the aegis of the East Carolina University Student Media Board, which oversees the operation of the newspaper, sets all the policies, and hires the editor in chief. In addition to the regular news, features, sports, and opinion sections, the newspaper produces special sections and supplements during the year to augment its standard coverage and highlight special campus events.
During the summer the newspaper is published once a week on Wednesday.
Circulation: 9,000 copies
This newspaper is owned by East Carolina University.
