KQCD TV 7 is an affiliate of the NBC Television Network.
KQCD TV 7 began broadcasting on July 28, 1980. It is a semi-satellite station of KFYR TV 5 in Bismarck. The stations were originally owned by the Meyer family of Bismarck. In 1997, the Meyers sold the television stations to Sunrise Television Corporation. Sunrise sold them to The Wicks Group of Companies in 2002. Hoak Media Corporation acquired both stations in July 2006. The sale was approved by the FCC on November 17, 2006.
