Known as The Daily Jeff, the Daily Jeffersonian covers local news in Cambridge and the surrounding communities of Guernsey County, Ohio. In 1806 a group of early settlers from the Isle of Guernsey in the English Channel pitched camp in Cambridge because the women in the party refused to move on.
The newspaper was founded in 1892. It was owned by Dix Communications until February 1, 2017, when the Dix family sold the company to GateHouse Media. On November 19, 2019, the Daily Jeff became part of Gannett Company when the owner of GateHouse Media bought Gannett and merged it with GateHouse under the Gannett name.
