The Cleveland Free Times was first published on September 30, 1992 as an alternative weekly newspaper in Cleveland, Ohio. In July 2008, it was shut down after Times-Shamrock Communications bought it and Cleveland Scene, merging the Free Times operation into the Scene. The final issue of the Free Times was dated July 16, 2008.
