Chillicothe Gazette is a daily newspaper in Chillicothe, Ohio, USA covering local news, sports, business, jobs, and community events. The newspaper is published seven days a week. The Chillicothe Gazette began publishing in Chillicothe when the Ohio territorial government moved there in 1800. It is Ohio's oldest newspaper and was originally founded as a weekly in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1793. The paper moved several years later to its present location in Chillicothe. The paper was owned until the 1990s by Gannett, then it was sold to a group who sold it again to The Thomson Corporation. When Thomson exited the newspaper business in the late 1990s, Gannett bought it back. Circulation: 13,038 copies This newspaper is owned by Gannett Company, Inc..
