The Florence Morning News serves the city of Florence and the Pee Dee region of South Carolina. The newspaper was first published on March 18, 1922 using the name Weekly News and Review. The name was later changed to the Morning News Review, and in February 1928 it purchased the Florence Daily Times and the name was changed to the Florence Morning News. The Morning News website is produced in cooperation with WBTW TV News13, which is also owned by Media General, Inc.
