Blastoff Network, in partnership with The Dallas Morning News and WFAA, has launched a new online shopping and social networking portal. The announcement was made on November 18, 2009.

DFWblastoff is a local internet portal featuring lifestyle content, access to local news and information from The Dallas Morning News and WFAA, and an online shopping mall featuring more than 400 well-known retailers. It also includes a cash-back program that pays members when their friends and family shop online through the site.

"Our technology encourages these kinds of partnerships for multiple levels of success. It is even further enhanced by the "local" aspect," said Adam Smith, co-founder of Blastoff Network.

"The Internet and WFAA.com is a significant part of the television station's overall news, information, advertising and retail strategy," said Mike Devlin, WFAA president and general manager. "We believe this portal will provide additional opportunity for consumers to access WFAA-created content, and we are pleased to be connected to DFWblastoff.com."
