KBYU FM 89.1 is a radio station in Provo, Utah, USA covering general entertainment. KBYU-FM, Classical 89, began as an AM station in the 1940's originally named KBRG. It was the first collegiate radio station west of the Mississippi River. The station serves over 100,000 listeners in the greater Salt Lake City area as well as Utah, Davis, Weber and Box Elder Counties. This radio station is owned by Brigham Young University.
