The editor Steve Seitz of the Black River Tribune reported in an email send to Mondo Times on October 8, 2009: "The Tribune ceased updating its site after May 7 of this year. We had two reasons; money and medical. However, the Tribune may be dormant, but it is not dead. Should we find sufficient financial backing, there is every reason in the world to bring it back."
