West Seattle Blog is an online local news service covering neighborhoods in West Seattle, Washington. The website was founded in December 2005 by Tracy Record as a personal blog. It became a news site in 2006, began selling ads in 2007, and by 2008 it was the full time occupation of Record and her husband, Patrick Sand. The blog reported 9.3 million pageviews in 2010, up 12 percent from the year before.

Founder Tracy Record has worked as a print and electronic journalist since age 17. Most recently, she was assistant news director at KCPQ-TV 13 in Seattle, a position she resigned in December 2007 to work on WSB full-time. Before that, Tracy spent 2 years at the Walt Disney Internet Group in roles including executive producer of ABC News online. That followed 8 years at KOMO TV 4 in Seattle, where she was its first-ever executive producer of new media.
