Crescenta Valley Sun Newspaper Ceases Publication
-- On July 3, 2009, The Crescenta Valley Sun newspaper ceased publication and was aborbed into the Glendale News Press. The Cresscenta Valley Sun had been published for seven years.

Dan Evans was named the editor of The Glendale News-Press amd the Burbank Leader, and the editorial director of the Crescenta Valley Sun and La Canada Valley Sun in April 2009. These four newspapers are owned by Times Community News, a division of Tribune Publishing. Evans was previously the online news editor at The Hollywood Reporter.
