Tyrone Borelli Laguna Beach, USA | Posted at 7:42pm on Friday, July 3rd, 2009 | Under the former editor and owner, Stu Saffer, The Indy was generally a typical local newspaper with a significant difference. The Indy would print letters to the editor w/o editing the content sparking city wide debates on all issues, local and national, all the time. Most local newspapers report the local news, which is as bland as cream of rice, and print letters to the editor, which are as controversial as tap water. The Indy Letters to the Editor got everyones hackles up and it made for really interesting reading. Under the new owners and editor the Indy is now as interesting as white paint.
