The terrestrial signal, WFED 1050 AM, broadcasts to Washington, D.C. and much of Montgomery, Arlington and Farifax Counties from 6am to local sunset. This is due to the station operating on a lower power signal. The station also airs Navy football plus select Navy men's basketball and lacrosse games.

I came across Federal News Radio on the internet today and listen at work. It covered in depth DC news and military discussion from an apparently non-biased perseptive, it is very interesting to listen to.
