KETD TV 53 in Denver is a Spanish-language affiliate of the Estrella TV network. It is owned by Estrella Media, until 2019 known as Liberman Broadcasting, Inc.
The station was launched on July 1, 1990 as KWHD and was known as 'Denver's Family Station.' It was an independent station based in the Denver suburban of Englewood, producing five hours per week of local programming. In 2010, the station was sold by LeSEA Broadcasting to Liberman Broadcasting. When Liberman took over the station, its call letters were changed from KWHD to KETD. The programming was also changed from Christian to Spanish language programming.
