Meeker, an agriculture writer for Horace Greeley at the New York Tribune. Meeker was also the founder of the city of Greeley.
The Greeley Tribune was a weekly newspaper from 1870 to 1908, when it became a daily. In 1977, Mildred Hansen sold the paper to Phil Swift of Swift Communications.
