The Longmont Ledger ceased publication in April 2011. It was a free newspaper published each Sunday covering the Longmont area of Boulder County, Colorado. The newspaper was delivered to 28,000 single-family households in targeted Longmont neighborhoods, and also distributed throughout the area in rack locations.
The original Longmont Ledger was owned by Robert Clinton Keeler, who published the newspaper from 1954 until 1972. Media News Group adopted the name to launch the new Ledger on on October 25, 2009. The business purpose of the newspaper was to reach readers who did not pay to subscribe to the Boulder Daily Camera, the leading newspaper in Boulder County, which is also published by Media News Group. The company also owns the Longmont Weekly and Longmont Times-Call.
