The editor and publisher of The Gazette, Bill Doak, reported on May 16, 2009, that the January 15, 2009 issue of the newspaper was the final issue under publisher Journal Register Company of Yardley, PA. The following Thursday, January 22, 2009, The Gazette published under ownership of Acorn Media Services, LLC.
