Fitness TV the first TV channel in the UK dedicated to health and fitness, bringing exercise classes into the nation's living rooms. Launched on August 4, 2009, Fitness TV features workouts from some of the country's top instructors, as well as general programmes offering health and nutrition tips. The channel is the vision of Luan Underwood, a Yorkshire-based accountant and former personal trainer. Luan and one of her clients, former champion British swimmer Tony Ruddiman, established a business in 2008 to address the lack of free, fun, fitness information available to everyone looking to make improvements to their lifestyle through healthy living.
