Haaretz is a Israel newspaper covering National News. Ha'aretz is Israel's left-leaning daily newspaper, and as such tends to look more critically at Israeli policy toward the Palestinians than the other major Israeli paper that publishes in English, the right-wing Jerusalem Post. It is also a popular place for English-speaking correspondents based in Israel to keep up on the news. It has up-to-the minute news flashes on its website. When you read about an attack in Israel from the wire services, it's likely that the correspondent read about it on the Ha'aretz website first. This newspaper is owned by Schocken family.
