BBC Arabic TV is a Saudi Arabia TV network covering National News. BBC Arabic Television is a news television channel launched on March 11, 2008. It is operated by the BBC World Service, funded by a grant from the British Foreign Office. BBC Arabic broadcasts 24 hours a day and is based in London. The BBC previously operated an Arabic news service which shut down in 1996. Many staff members of that service went to work for Al Jazeera television, which along with Al-Arabiya competes with BBC Arabic for viewers. This TV network is owned by the British Broadcasting Corporation. The web site is presented in the Arabic language.
