The Hallmark Channel is a 24-hour cable television network offering family programming. Launched in 2001 and supported by advertising, it is seen in over 86 million homes across the U.S. The Hallmark Channel offers original movies and a mix of popular television series, including "The Golden Girls," "Murder, She Wrote," "M*A*S*H," "Walker, Texas Ranger" and "Little House on the Prairie."

The Hallmark Channel is operated by Crown Media Holdings, a publicly traded company which is majority owned by the Hallmark Cards company. Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Hallmark Cards is a privately owned American company that is the largest manufacturer of greeting cards in the United States.
