Founded in 1989, Modern Woodworking is a trade magazine edited for management and operating personnel with production articles in the residential, business and institutional furniture, cabinet and primary and secondary woodworking areas. The magazine is distributed monthly. Former publisher Randall-Reilly Publishing Co. shut down the magazine after the release of the October 2009 issue, and the same month sold the publication to TCC Media Group, the current publisher.

The Randall-Reilly Publishing Company has agreed to sell trade magazine Modern Woodworking to TCC Media. Financial terms were not disclosed.
