Catalina Magazine was founded in 2001 by Latina journalist Cathy Areu, who wished o portray Hispanic woman as they are: smart, strong, sophisticated, savvy, and proud. It is the official publication of the National Association of Latina Leaders (NALL), a non-profit advocacy group promoting Latina equality in the private and public sector.
